Before the snow storm arrived I did a drive around and spotted this photo opt. That is a frozen center lake that is located along the main drive in our town.

I appreciate your comments!

On a sad note I had posted awhile back that our friend bfrank was taking a break from Caedes to help his wife who had hip surgery.

I have tried to reach out to him a few times and he did respond with this message.

Hello Sandi. My wife has hospice working with her now. She responds very little. She's in a hospital bed and I change and feed her. That is why I haven't checked in here at Caedes. I just don't have much time and get pretty exhausted. I hope all is well with everyone. Tell everyone I said hello. He told me in an earlier message that she also had a stroke.

I hope you will join me in wishing him strength and faith during this time.

Sorry to hear of Frank's problems and his wife's illness. I do miss his drawings on here. Another cold looking shot Sandi - I must say ice fishing is a sport I never understood - why?

Sandi, I've added a comment about Frank's wife and Frank in the Bulletin Board.
I hope that there will progress/improvement in this situation. My thoughts and prayers are to both of them. I miss Frank's wonderful works on Caedes too!

Thanks too for your very fine wintry image of a lake near to your home town!

Oh man, that*s tough for Frank. He and I were born the same year so I can empathize with the energy loss, but, although I had to do some of these same things for my mom before she passed (and I was still in my 40s), I cannot imagine my better 7/8ths in hospice. I do feel for them both.

As for the photo, a single fish house on a frozen lake is a common sight around here (and if it*s in the eastern part of my state it*s probably my brother-in-law), and when my wife and I did a photo trip in December, we drove past a lake that looked like it had a small town of fish houses on it. You have captured the quiet and somewhat desolate nature of the spot perfectly, Sandi.

Great winter scene on the lake Tigs - some prefer ice fishing, but I would rather be fishing on a nice boat on a warm day - Great Capture!!!!!!!!!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Noted. Best of luck to them.
On a different note - lovely lake, it must be interesting to see this lake and surrounding trees when covered in snow as well...
