I agree with all the above comments. I realize this is a super shot, but Robert, I have a hard time looking at it. And yes, it has fantastic details, colours and subject matter. I appreciate ALL your marvelous images :)
Survival of the fittest, but in this case it seems to be in reverse order as to what most people would assume. That is what makes this an even more spectacular photo Robert. Excellent capture and presentation.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Hi,my name is Rob..ok, so I'm not the greatest at replies and comments. Sorry. For anyone needing to contact me, my email is back up in my profile. >> my cluttered mess of a gallery
Well, this has to be the capture of the year. Can you tell me what your settings were on this? Fantastic. Poor bee. A Robber Fly? Looks simular to a dragon Fly. Must be native to your country. By the way, the title is priceless. Super capture.

The title of this was doggoned clever Robert. The capture is even better! You just continue to post images of higher quality each and every time!! I have never heard of a "Robber Fly" and from this picture, I don't want to meet with one either!! Nature seems cruel at times. The other night we were sleeping with the window open and we have red fox that lives behind our house in the woods and the fox was dining on rabbit! I never knew that a rabbit could make such piercing screams. It doesn't seem right, but I know that it is the nature of the food chain. You have demonstrated that so eloquently here. Thank you for sharing this with me. Much appreciated my friend!! To my favorites it goes.....
Wow, Robert! I was reading all the comments while patiently waiting for the download and when I brought it up, I was stunned! Incredible detail, you set the standard and keep living up to it.
Wow! I love that detail. One day I'll have a Canon and give you some competition but until then I will have to bow to the master. Wonderful capture.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

That is an incredibly close and detailed shot. Maybe a little too close for my comfort ;) I think i lost my appetite, but i'm glad he can still eat dinner :) Good Job!

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.

This is the type of image that amazes me. It give you insight into the world around us.. the world that so many of us are too busy to take the time to enjoy. Great capture!
That really is a stunning macro. The detail and exposure is absolutely perfect. I wonder what equipment you used and how long you had to wait!! Very Well done.
I wonder the same things as Ally. Just found this in featured images. I can see why. Great capture and the clarity is off the charts. Great one Robert.
