As most of you already know I lost my beloved husband of 41 years on July 22. He became ill on July 10 and 12 days later he was gone. He did not have to suffer long thankfully. Roses were his favorite flowers and he was almost as learned about flowers as I am. I had finished my editing work on this shot the night before he was taken ill. I showed it to him and said I was going to use it as my foofy the next day - he loved it. So now it is for him - he was my biggest supporter in my photography hobby and lugged many a camera bag and tripod through the years. He thought I was world's best photographer and the world's best cook. I will miss him terribly but I have some wonderful memories to comfort me.

---He thought I was world's best photographer and the world's best cook---

Kathy with respect to the latter, I can't judge about that, but it was taken for granted by me. To me, your dear late husband Dave was right when it comes to qualifying the photographer.

Cherish these precious and fond memories.

I agree what Raj said in his comment. It will be helpful to take your mind off your sad situation. To sit down and doing nothing may be a relief, but only for a short period of time.
Nevertheless, I admire your courage to return to Caedes already.

Thanks for this wonderful tribute for Dave! That he may Rest In Peace.

I am almost speechless to formulate what to say at this time, Kathy. You shared such a long time with your husband, Dave. That was a cherished time of 41 years. I can only say I have compassion for your loss and deeply hope you receive the comfort you need now. Your rose is a beautiful tribute to those wonderful memories.

A lovely tribute to commemorate the wonderful love you and Dave shared. Such a sudden loss is devastating. To have such memories to treasure is a blessing. I believe the yellow rose symbolizes friendship joy and caring. What better recipe for a love story such as yours. Kia kaha Kathy.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
