Here's a new one on me - spotted this in late spring. Also known as foamflower - it's in the same family as astilbe and actually prefers shade. It grows in clumps and sends out runners to spread. It is a perennial - usually seen in white as a wildflower but they have now cultivated into pink shades.

I don't know if I ever come across this type of flower while roaming in the woods. It is a nice-looking plant. Thanks for sharing it, Kathy!

When fear comes to me I will stubbornly choose Faith Instead!!!!
The two maples out front have been a pain in the touchas to mow around for years, so I built brick rings around them several weeks ago, removed the sod, and we filled them with potting soil and top soil, my wife then planting five hostas in each. The leaves and branches of the trees provide a heckuva lot of shade, so something like this would be rather cool in between the hostas. Thankee, Kathy.

To me an unknown flower, Kathy, so I've searched for more information about this flower and have found THIS.
By checking-out this link one can read that it's a genus of wildflower and garden plants found in Asia and North America, a good excuse for me for my ignorance in this, 😁 !
