That is the name of this variety of helenium - a member of the aster family - they bloom in August and September. The colloquial name for it is sneezeweed - not very appealing.
Love salsa but could do without the sneezing - in all seriousness, a very unique flower indeed - now let me put some salsa on that avocado that just ripened - Great Find and Capture Kathy!!!!!!!!!!!
Kathy, I don't know why they've chosen for the nickname sneezeweed. Although I'm sensitive to pollen grains, it doesn't bother me at all behind my screen, 😁 . Just kidding of course. Thanks for a wonderful floral contribution however!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
