My Christmas tree is new, as are all the decorations - I wasn't comfortable doing what I always did with my late husband. But this is the special ornament I have for him as our first cat when we married 42 years ago was a little Siamese named The Real Lady. We, however, most often called her Baby Kitty.

Kathy, this very lovely image does remember me my childhood days. Our Christmas trees in that era were decorated with similar ornaments. One of these ornaments was a bearded mini gnome. I loved it so much that I couldn't resist the temptation to touch it every time. Because I wasn't so careful as a child, it eventually resulted in some 'upset' from my parents. I can still remember that today, with a smile on my face however.
Thanks for reviving my nostalgic memories.

Kathy, Of course you know I would love this, and I'm glad your still hanging it on the tree. Years ago when I was growing up we had a siamese named Simone. Lovely and unusual ornament. tigs=^..^=

Our last cat was a Siamese with faint tiger stripes in her legs. She and a sibling had been found by a co-worker, while on a riverside country hike, so young their eyes were not yet open. It took her a couple of her fifteen years to learn to stay out of the Christmas tree and, while a cat ornament might look good on our tree, naming it *Taz* (the co-workers applied moniker) may not be totally suitable. Perhaps we could call it *The Mouser Who Loved to be Vacuumed*?

All kidding aside, she actually did. Weird cat.
