A very pretty upright perennial with long leaves. Can be used for medicinal purposes but this one is strictly decorative.

Kathy, I think, by its shape of the flowers and the leaves, that it's a cultivated species.
The non cultivated species are worldwide used for medical purposes, esp. for making medicines for people who are dealing with mental problems.
Wonderful capture anyhow!

Oh, hey, I was expecting to see a big ole mole on the old man*s nose, with several long hairs growing out of it. Instead you give us a lovely yellow blossom, open and loaded with delicate stamen, next to an example of what the flower looks like when it is closed. How dare you take the classy approach to this presentation? Jeez Louise!

Uhhh, Kathy. . . thank you.
