Once again, here is Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, Or. But this time I was at the South of the Rock, so this tree is a small Evergreen, a little windblown from the sea.Altho Haystack is the popular Rock, I wanted to put the focus on the windblown tree. You can see a bit of the little town to the right. I hope you enjoy this view also and feel free to comment.

The texture of both captures is astounding. Feels more like an oil painting than a picture to me. Great job on both!

I just love that rugged, weathered tree and the haze in the background. If Haystack Rock is the subject, then it has been dominated by the foreground.

Sometimes, it is good to have a scene stealer. This one certainly has character and you captured it well. Well rendered and rich in detail.

Oh Verena these two posts are soo beautiful - how I wish they were of the size of my monitor! :] I love this place and your presentation of it makes it magical. I really like your choice of framing but IMO they would be top rate without framing as well ... ;)

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Another great one Verena. It must have taken a while to walk over there. It would have been the next day by the time I arrived. Between your and Jen's recent posts, I feel like Haystack Rock is an old friend. Stupendous work.

Hi Verena...

Boy oh boy...how I love this image my friend....you are very much aware of how much I liked 'Haystack'...the first posting..of this area...absolutely engaging...

The beautiful blues..the soft browns..and greens...are all so wonderfully blended...the elements are artistically composed as to produce a most splendid...of presentations....I love the lonely swaying tree...keeping pace with the fast moving turbulent flow..... of moving water and waves.....

Together the component parts create an uneasy... a rather...unsettling....but positively exciting place to be....brings many thoughts to mind...an emotionally aroused..even agitated feeling...but even though...the scene still remains one of great excitement....the 'power' of the 'sea'....draws us near to the magic and drama of 'nature'......

Beautifully done....one of your very best my friend...in my view....
