Fantastic Hilda, I second the other comments about clarity, colour and DOF. What a joy it must be to have these things buzzing about. All we get here is wasps and bees.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Wonderful depth and color! This really is a tiny fella, you did a good job just spotting him, never getting a great capture of him. Another well done to you, Hilda!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Just super, my dear. I love this horizontal companion to your earlier vertical upload. It makes for a fuller desktop for me. Great job on the lighting on the flower and on the front area of the hummer.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Well done, Hilda. Beautiful colors on the flowers with good clarity. Just the right amount of motion blur which I think is required on hummer shots to give the right "feeling" about what they do to survive.
Agree w/all the above but I like the lighting and the way the bird's head/eye are in the bright area, which also emphasizes the red flowers while the other flowers are outside the DOF. Good catch!

What a lovely red he's picked.
