We drove by this white rose and I went back with my camera. I was so amazed by the morning dew. I love dew and this was like a fine mist. Don't know if this picture can do it justice, but I tried.
I admire your spirit, Hilda. Going back for a white rose means it must have stood out and I know that feeling of not being able to resist at least a couple of shots. You certainly did do this justice, because now it will live on in it's white, dew kissed beauty in this photo. I'd go back for a white rose too. Very beautiful post.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Definitely worth it and definitely does it justice. I admire your dedication in spotting this and going back for it. Makes for a very unusual shot given the angle you've taken and the silky whiteness. Also bears a passing resemblance to Chinese prawn crackers!! Love it.

A great intense close up shot Hilda
The thick bubbly texture reminds me of Chinese prawn crackers. No Hilda please don't hit me with Your handbag it was Nigel who said it first anyway !! :d Click here for Chinese prawn crackers this is my 1st successful Caedes link kids. :d

Well, my dear.. I am going to try to put this derailed beauty that I missed while trying to capture fall pics into perspective...first of all Phil did a great job with his link. And secondly, you've given us all a vibrant view into a romantic look at a white rose which is, in my humble opinion, a very hard thing to do. I admire your dedication to excellence and your great eye for detail and unusual perspective. Most certainly into my flower faves.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Couldn't pass this one up! I love white-on-white...and the clear yellow shadows are very appealing. Thank goodness I've never seen a Chinese prawn cracker. :)
