In honor of Mom's everywhere - especially mine! You carried me under your heart Every beat your love to impart. You picked me up when I fell and praised me when I did well. You held me close when I needed you, Stroked my hair and saw me through. You have always been there to dry my tears Listening and caring for all these years. I have laughed and cried and prayed with you Traveled far, and come back to you. I am always welcomed with open arms You are the haven I go to in storms. Thanks, Mom!

Happy Mother's Day, my friend, and what a lovely poem to accompany this sweet tribute to moms. You should know. You're a great mother yourself.

I really like your composition here.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Yes, I wrote the poem - here is the whole thing:

Thanks, Mom!

You carried me under your heart
Every beat your love to impart.

You picked me up when I fell
and praised me when I did well.

You held me close when I needed you,
Stroked my hair and saw me through.

You have always been there to dry my tears
Listening and caring for all these years.

I have laughed and cried and prayed with you
Traveled far, and come back to you.

I am always welcomed with open arms
You’re my shelter in the midst of storms.

Thanks, Mom!

For letting me climb trees
and kissing skinned knees,

For giving me wings to fly
and the courage to try.

Now it’s my turn to do
something for you

So this is my way
to say thank you today.

I respect you, I love you
I treasure and miss you!

And I want you to know
that wherever I go

You’re there in my heart
Even though we’re apart!

Love you, Mom!
