I see several changes. Will there be no avatars or has that yet to be entered? When posting semi-anonymously, where in the data base is the name located? Can the posting artist have access to the commenter's name?
I noticed that you still can't call up a member's favorites by c:index, date or randomly and get it to work or is it not supposed to do that there? Also, only twelve images a page appear at a time.

I see them also, one thing i have noticed that when i click on this link i'm still logged on. But when I click on the one above it logs me off. I like how the choices for catagories are listed. I'm not sure about what cindy mentioned about the avatar's but I do hope we still have them.

I just didn't copy over the avatars because of the disk space usage.

On anonymous posts, the user's name is stored, but only the site administrators can see it. We may not turn on the option for anon posts though.

I think that the gallery problems are due to an issue with your cookies. You can probably get them working by clearing all your cookies, but I'll see about changing it so that there isn't a problem.

I deleted my cookies and it still doesn't work. It works everywhere else, so that is just minor I guess.

bug alert..

when I log into the dev site, I see a subscription notification that I'd already seen, and checked off, here in the regular site. when I go to it ( a comment on one of my pics, I get logged off.

I love the new 'Send A Personal Message' feature with the addition of sending a file attachment. The browse button worked fine though I didn't try sending myself an attachment.

I did log on & off on the developer's site ... everything seems to be working with the exception of what Cindy mentioned above regarding to view an artists favorites (random, c-index, date). Yes, I did clear my cookies.

Will be looking forward to more new features.

Noticed the individual "Process Checked" button for Personal Messages, Friends Images, & Subscriptions ... then still have the option to check them all & process. Very nice!

Keep in mind that the database for the dev site is completely separate from the main site. I just copied the contents of the main site's database to create the new site.

I really like the new addition to the personal messages. That would erase some of the headaches of trying to work with someone on a pic, especially if they weren't willing to share their email addy. I like the new anonymous commenting, but would be interested to see if it gets used frequently. Glad to see some changes!

There are some minor changes on the dev site, but the main purpose right now is to make sure that all the code works correctly. The main changes that we have planned are going to come after we exterminate most of the bugs. =)

*caedes, I did try to send myself a file. It was 4.05MB..it was 2560x1920. This is the error message that I got....still under development?

If the PM feature is going to be used to exchange images,reworks, etc, between artists the files will be of large size.

I'm with Hilda on the Cooliris connection. I don't think there would be a rip off issue as it seems very secure.

This is just a reminder to *caedes that the Search function of the Discussion Board seems to be the same as what we used to have for pictures and thus that will need to be replaced by whatever comes about for the pictures. :o)

A suggestion... for a new feature in the User Information page... a gallery button. The big plus for Caedes with this one would be that the Search function would be used a lot less because it would not have to be used just to get into someone's gallery. It always was there... I, for one, didn't know. And it is much more visible on the dev.caedes.net side. :o)

Tonight I have hunted for changes on the dev.caedes side... I thought I found a few! Nope! But I did find a slight error... terminology... you have a Time Format D:M:Y or M:D:Y option... to me that should be a Date Format in the User Information/ Edit Profile pages. :o)

Edit: And then I found the All News button at the bottom of the opening page. If one clicks on it, you get a L-----o-----n------g page of News (OLD!) Suggestion... have that All News button become a Most Recent News button. :o)) Only 1½ years to see the bottom half of my screen! :o)
