Hi Abby...nice to meet you and welcome to caedes...hope you have alot of fun here..many thanks for your visit and lovely comments on Forest Green (for fotobob)...much appreciated and very glad you liked it.:Pat.
.
Yeah, the actual patch is about 10 cm in diameter! Im new at those kind of shots so i was pleased at how it came out. I see youve done some cool similar ones as well - ill cheak em out.
I want to thank you for your comments on "Snowy Campus - Sculpture." There are a two other "Snowy Campus" images you should check out if you liked this one. Thanks again for the comment!
Hey, Abby Thanks for 'The other side' comment - i wanted to do something a little different! - Its wierd being on a tiny island (1 mile long) and seeing fields and broken tractors etc.
Hi there! Thanks for your comment on "Before the Storm", I'm glad you like it. I'm very pleased with how it turned out and it's different to the usual PSP techniques I usually use.
Thanks for your comments on "the road to Silverton". I have to agree with the lens flare but I thought I would try posting anyway. I'll try and get rid of it soon and re-post.
Hi Abby, thanks for taking the time to comment on my Winnats Pass photograph. I actually took the photograph from the passenger seat of our car - so was really pleased I did not get any reflection from the windscreen. .... and yes it is beautiful countryside - one of my favourite spots.
Thank ya kindly for the commentary on 'Golden' - I always appreciate the comments and suggestions as Im still quite new at this. Though I shall take your thoughts into consideration - once I can figure out how the heck to alter anything ;) Yes, Im a total newbie. I can click the cam, but can I manipulate? :P
Take care of yourself - blessings :)
Abby, thanks for stopping by "Burmal Strength". I appreciate your descriptive comment. Any ideas what I could have done better?
So you are a big fan of the darkroom, huh? Well, I spent 10 hours in it yesterday and the day before combined, no exageration. The smells get to you after a while...and it makes you very hungry... I don't mind enlarging, really, but I like to view my pictures as soon as I take them, and developing is not high on my list of Saturday activities. Well, regardless, I will try to get the rest of my negatives scanned so I can start uploading more film shots.
Thank you very much for your kind comments on my piece "PreDawn", it's always appreciated when someone takes a moment to post thier thoughts. The next one "Daybreak" (not posted yet) is even better...Thanks again. dAVE
Fresh greens are all around me and all these smells - I feel dizzy... Too many colors have burst during the last few days. I am overwhelmed by the spring vitality. It seems it is appealing to you as well. Thank you for your comment on "with a spring blossing".
Thanks for your comment on "Winchester". Depth of field is relative to the distance from the subject, and since I was only a few inches away, I would focus on one of the legs and the body of the spider would already be blurry. I didn't want to stop down too far because I needed the shutter speed - the wind was blowing, so it would have been far worse if I couldn't freeze frame it, but, then again, it is so hard to focus on something so small when it is moving dramatically. It was a difficult subject, and I think it is pretty obvious that I used artifical lightening on the spider itself.
Thanks again for commenting on yet another of my photos--nature's paintbrush. As always, I appreciate the fact you took the time to do it. May you know success and fulfillment.
I guess we will not succeed in "chasing a faun". He must have walked away to look for some alcoholic drink, lol. He said he is fed up with a mineral water from the nearby brook, no volts etc...
Thank you for your time and extensive and supportive comment. Glad you liked fresh greenery despite the bright sky. Spring is the only time of the year when colors are so well saturated and bright.
Abby, your comment on my photo " A land full of contrasts" is very much appreciated! When I took the photo, I couldn't believe what I was seeing was "real" either ;) Thank you!! My kindest regards~ Toni
Mucho thanks for tasting the Bitter Sweet of my capture!! There was lotsa sun staring down on this piece so it's a little punched in the main area, yet, my main focal point was the bee. I really appreciate your comments and thoughts...I'm always willing to learn in trying to always take the best clicks possible!! So any advice I gets sure helps!! :~)
Very good. You were the first one to notice my shadow in the picture. It was interesting to find money on top of the sand. They had just completes renourishment last year and at different times others found two more quarters, no other denominations.
Abby .. hello and
thanks for commenting upon Prometheus Unbound" Your positive feedback is most welcome.
BTW: I peeked at your gallery .. and love your shots.
Thanks for commenting on Gritty Paper Doll, Abby! I agree... I like how the nose turned out, and how her eyebrows merged with the eyelid after applying the effect. Appreciate your feedback! Drop by any time. :)

I always appreciate your comments on my photos. Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to make them. May your day be one of harmony and balance.
Abby, I totally agree with you, but to be honest, I've never really practiced with improving a shot using software. Maybe I can try it with this shot, even though I'm not sure that I can upload it twice. Thanks for the comment!

thanks for the comment on the random one, the piggy one which you think is a rose. Makes some of us think, like since some see a pig, you see a rose, what do other people see. Now, I'm just rambling, oh well, thanks.
My critic goes to your work, not you! Don't take things personally.

Hello Abby. Thank you for those wonderful comments you left at “Delightfully Seedy”. You write a very good review. I enjoy shooting toward the light like that. It can be quite challenging but it’s very rewarding when it all works out.
Here’s another big thank you for Abby. This one is for “Tree Frog”. He was one of my first successful macro shots of wildlife. They are funny little things, when they see you coming they hide behind their leaf so all you can see is their tiny feet hanging on to the edge of the leaf.
Thanks for the nice comments on red sky at night, Abby. Happy 4th to you also. This is the first 4th of July I have spent as a civilian in 3 years and I (unfortunately) know first hand what it costs to be free . Thanks again -R
Thank you for looking and commenting on
Watching Whales I am glad you enjoyed the picture. I actually got the idea from a poster for the aquarium .. I think mine looks better.
Hi Abby, thx for commenting on Yum! Its actually not a skewer but a grass straw=) Thanks for the tip, Im gonna try again and do some things different.
Have a nice day=)
Hello Abby! Thanks for the very nice comments on my Peppers 5 Rework. I cooked these peppers with some onions. These peppers are a product of Holland. The flavor and quality is superb. I like the darker version also.

Big Bang Boom is a composite image of six long exposures taken at the Perry, Ga Fairground. Thanks Abby for taking the time to view and comment on this image. This was my first attempt at photographing fireworks using a digital camera.

Thanks for the comments on my "Yellow Flowers" post. I was unsure about the effects also. But, I had spend good money (I am a frugal Minnesotan) so I felt a need to try to use it. I'll try to improve my skills and practice before I submit another example. Thanks again for your comments. Karl :o)
Thanks for dropping by and leaving such positive comments on Bamboo and Daisy. I took a few shots ... this one did not blow the highlights on the petals .. so it won.
Thanks Abby for your comments and support of my picture “Blast Of Purple” The intent here was to get close enough so the whole screen would fill with color.
Hi Abby, I'm so glad you dropped in on "Wakeboard Bob". Your kind comments were most appreciated. I've been enjoying your gallery too! Best wishes, Carolyn
Thanks Abby for you comments on A touch of joy, i did the background in photoshop first go to magic selection brush tool, select the background you want to eliminate you can't do it all at once, you select the biggest area first and then the smaller ones till you get all the background selected. Then you use the select the background color tool, to select the color you want, and then you use the paint bucket tool, to paint that color in the background just repeat that till you get the color you want. Then go to deselect all and your done. Hope that helps. Have a great day. Dwight.

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain
Howdy from Portugal! Thanks Abby for taking a look at "Moss" and for saying such nice things, I'm glad you liked it. This is a scanned old 35mm colour slide - my sturdy and reliable Nikon is not digital! - and you know scan always denatures colours and details. So, some sharpening and colour correction were applied in Photoshop so that the scanned image could match the original one. Believe me this is not piece of cake! On the other hand a digital camera stores its pictures directly in the camera's memory, or memory card, and can be used immediately on a computer. This is the main difference between a "film camera" and a digital one. I took the picture you saw with a Micro lens, which is designed for high magnification close-up applications. Provides extraworking distance and continuous focusing from infinity to life-size (1:1). A little gem of a lens!
Thanks again Abby and all the best to you.
Cheers.
Sunny Beach was a manipulation to enhance a beach shot of a cool cloud. I added the bird in the forground and adjusted the image to highlight the cloud. Thanks Abby for the very nice comments on this image.

Thanks for your comments Abby, you are so kind.I'm glad you liked the Walk in the Forest. It's a favourite of mine too, because it's such a change from the noisy city.
HI Abby, I am glad you enjoyed the sandcastle photograph of the sunbather - they made a really good job of it - I wonder how long it stayed there before the sea washed it away. :) Patti
Thanks Abby, for stopping by and leaving such nice comments on "Through the hole in the sky". Glad you liked it! Sorry, no larger version yet. I'm having dial-up (yes I have dial-up, don't laugh) problems. So for now that's the only size I'm able to up load:(
Thankd again!
