Hi Liz and thanks for your kind words on "Keeping Up." These start out as individual pictures and I start playing with them and creating new geometric figures with them as the color. Then, I get an idea for a picture and start, more in earnest, to mold them to what I have in mind. ~~ John
Hi Elizabeth ... Thank you for your kind words on my recognition as AOTM. It was a pleasant surprise. "Six Pack' is one of my favorites also ... I hope to get some more images of deer this winter. Thanks again.
in the summer Minister's Tree House would be hard to see through the trees so I am glad I went in the fall
I could only reach the 8th floor out of 10 since the stairway was getting really steep plus the floor was weak and creaky. I didn't want it to break and fall 8 stories to the ground, the picture isn't great but it was something exciting and different to do. Thanks! Diane

The red rocks of Sedona have a magical mystical feel with fantastic shapes resembling giant fortresses, towers, pinnacles and other exotic visages. As the day goes by the rocks change to different shades of red, gold, pink. and the shadows are always changing the scene Sedona Submarines does have it's flaws I was using an older not so good digital camera back then Thank you for liking my favorite southwest red rock formations Elizabeth!
Diane

Thank you for your glowing review of 750 Islands Elizabeth! It's hard to take a bad picture in a warm tropical paradise with pristine white sand beaches, crystalline blue waters, tropical flowers the colors of jewels, filling the balmy air with exotic perfume. . I've been to 8 of the 750 in the Bahamas. I am glad my goal isn't to visit all of them. I'd die of old age before I could finish...smile!

Elizabeth - Thank you for the kind comments on 'Rudbeckia' and 'The Protector', faving the later. These photos were the byproduct of a failed attempt at photographing a dragonfly that spent a long time on some rocks near the pool (until I got my camera, of course). With late afternoon sun, I had one flower with partial backlighting and the other with indirect sunlight. Enjoy your day! Thad

Hi Elizabeth. Thanks for your comments on "Nonconformity". I take your point about the capture's rustic appeal, but on a UK scale of rusticity its not even close. (check out my posting Time Warp) and so I decided not to enter it. Glad you enjoyed it. Barry.
Thanks Elizabeth for the comments on "Sulking" I do in fact have a shot cropped at the shoulders but I loved what she was wearing and had to post this one. May post the other one later.

I just wanted to thank you for your insightful comments on "After the Arson ". I'm sure that the steps were indeed much newer than the foundation. I was on the volunteer fire dept. that responded to that fire and it was quite sad. It's a landmark in that little old gold mining town that is sadly missed.
Hello Elizabeth...Many thanks for taking thev time to view (A SCOTTISH CASTLE)and for your comments,it is very much appreciated....I wanted the scene to be sombre and mysterious,so I used my graduated neutral density filter to cut down the light and then used levels in PS...Thankyou again....All the very best to you Elizabeth........Mick.
Elizabeth - Thank you for faving 'College Fjord Glaciers'. The vast size of this fjord with its high mountains and many glaciers is hard to capture with the camera. I hope this image does some of that. Thad
Hi Elizabeth, everyone keeps asking if 329 is the moon so now I just say "329" really is my land claim on the moon. I was keeping it hush hush to get in early and grab up a premium location before the moon rush begins...thank you for your kind words!
Thanks for your feedback on my first baby steps with the new macro rig. I'm getting a lot more keepers than I expected and of much higher quality than the previous setup. It would be nice to have a glut of wild shots to share, instead of the pittance before. There's a whole world of interesting insect and plant life right under our noses and this a challenging, but fun way to show it to an elite audience.
Hello Elizabeth...Many thanks fo viewing (HORSES AT LIBERTY)and for your comments,it is as you know very much appreciated...I have no fear of being around horses, but saying that I do have the utmost respect for them....Thankyou again....All the very best to you Elizabeth.......Mick.
Thanks for your kind words and supportive comments on my latest efforts. I don't get to use the macro rig as much as I'd like. It's partly a lack of opportunity and partly because it's a heavy & difficult apparatus to use and takes a lot out of me physically. So the people who enjoy what I've discovered and tell me so are very welcome indeed. Stop by again any time.

Thanks for looking at my fancy white car Elizabeth it was spotless..I don't take many car pictures so I thought I would post one for a change. I would rather have a fast sports car then an old one like this. Caedes is starting to feel like a ghost town to me...it's so quiet recently
