Whoa... this is amazing...you sure do have great details and light here, not too crazy about the bug, but I am certain this night heron is very satisfied with his lunch.

That is an easy lunch for the heron; crawdads do not always move fast enough to evade fishermen as good as a heron, and he will not bother to steam his catch first. He prefers his own style of sushi. A nice action catch, Larry. On both counts.
