This dog is kept in a huge yard, closed in by a long and high wooden fence. The owner has put "windows" about every 5 feet for the dog to look out at the street.
Connie, it's probably a well meant initiative by its boss. Hope however that this gentle looking dog hasn't the feeling be kept in a prison. Seen and captured very well, my friend.

The doggie's yard is huge and borders the street. As you walk along, he runs from window to window to keep up with you. Each window is a different design...not sure why. He can't run loose in the neighborhood...it's against the law...unless he is on a leash.
At least he has a pastime running from window to window. I remember walking past a long iron fence once in New Zealand and the ferocious German Shepherd dog behind the fence followed me barking and jumping against the iron fence all the way. It was frightening. This one is so peaceful and cute.
He is obviously well cared for and treasured to have windows like this - he is a beauty as well. So much better than being tied up. He posed nicely for you :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
He's a beautiful dog Constance - I suppose the owner's feel they're doing the right thing giving him the run of the yard and windows to look out at the passersby - Great shot btw - his wooden frame (window) looks new as its not weathered like the fence!!!!!!!!
It sure is something different, and really when you think about it- well thought out. Perhaps they acquired this cute doggie, and already had the fence, so they wanted to give him some views along the fencing. I'm sure it's cheaper this way than to replace all of the fencing. He/she looks kind and is adorable, and looks well cared for. tigs=^..^=
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Well, that was nice of the owner to do, sort of like the windows in the wooden walls around construction areas, back in the early to mid 1900's. The dog probably gets enough attention from passersby, because of the windows, and that accounts from the calm nature I can see in its face.
