This wasn't taken the same time as yesterday's photo of our cat in the window but it is a familiar scene none the less. As I mentioned, aside from some obvious differences, alligators have a lot of the same traits as cats IMO. They sleep and lounge just as much, and have the same standoffish temperament as cats do to varying degrees. In all honesty, I cannot tell if this is the same guy who has come around in the past. If they are about the same size it's a bit easy, but unless you get up close and personal it is hard to differentiate.

The bloated belly shows that he/she has eaten and will now sleep. I like that "friendly smile" too.

Alex, I prefer however a cat as pet rather than this 'devil in disguise', ☺ .
Maybe you're used to see such a 'friendly critter' that close in you area, but if I lived there, think I was frightened to death each time when I was confronted with such a 'lazy' guy!

That gator is really enjoying life in the Florida sun all stretched out and soaking up the warmth Alex - looks like he has found an excellent spot - Great Capture!!!!!!!!!

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Not to mention all the laughs we get out of those videos of alligators falling asleep on top of warm TV's, batting balled up sheets of paper around the house, teasing the dog... hmmm? Oh, I guess we must have a different kind of alligator up here, Alex... yours appears to be smiling.
