Straight away let me say for who may care, this photo was taken by a dear friend of mine who is no longer with us. I am positive he would not mind if I used it. So hopefully I will not have to spend more time in the Caedes jail. :) Right then. So this photo shows the old St. Jermaine house in Baraga Michigan where much of my formative years were spent and where most of my family and mother till the age of 12 lived. I stayed at my Uncle's house next door to this photo. I never went in the house, my mother lived there for a bit, I was scared thinking it was haunted. The person who took this photo was the local historian and said this building was built about 1870 and was a stagecoach stop back in the day. Around 1998 the building was demolished and there's a automotive garage there from what I hear. I remember as a kid the hundreds of bats that would stream out of the attic in the summer around dusk. If I could create heaven, it would be those days with the old kinfolk forever.

It looks like they had a barber shop there or at least a barber sign Alex. I can see why this would take you back in time and make you want to return.
Wonderful story and sentiment about heaven. By the way, you have been released from Caedes jail on your recognizance.

That was my cousins barbershop from years ago. It wasn't there when this picture was taken but the remnants still remain.

Nice winter scene even if it is not yours. I am sure your friend wouldn't have minded if he were still with you.

This former St. Jermaine house had a somewhat haunting character indeed, Alex. The bats would had make me doubtful to go in this house as well. Have therefore some doubts too whether this image will create fond memories to you, ☺ .

Your first winter shot for caedes. I almost thought you were gonna tell me of a freak snow storm in Florida. :) Very nice story and thank you for sharing it with us. Memories are what make life magical.
