This is a Red Doberman Pincher that was at my daughter's camp. This beautiful dog does not have the traditional cropped ears that we are used to seeing, and to me, it is not at all viscous looking.

Thanks for the comments.

This gave me an opportunity to share this song about Old Red.
A Doberman Pincher that is really a Pussy Cat. Something wrong with that scenario JimboB. Good post.

Looks can be deceiving sometimes Jimbob. Two weeks ago one little girl was bitten to death by a Doberman not far from here. But you are right. The dog looks calm and harmless. Nice shot.

Jimbob - A doberman at a camp full of children better be docile! Terrific head shot - lighting and clarity are superb. Thad

Excellent clarity and lighting on this sweet looking Dobie - Dobies can be protective but they are not by nature mean.

When puppies get a good education, they can grow up as men's and women's best friend. If not, or if it are dogs of a of some special species, they can be even dangerous. When a baby is born, one must be careful as well, as a dog can become jealous when the baby gets all the attention, because a dog believes it has a higher step on the hierarchic ladder rather than the new born baby. This dog however seems to be okay, lol.
Fine post Jimbob.

Wonderful capture of this sweetie. Does not look mean at all. Dobies can be such good dogs, I think alot has to do with the owner. Years ago I had a friend that had one, and what a smart and well behaved dog he was. =^..^=sandi
