On my way to another location I passed this field of daffodils which reminded me of Wordsworth's lines,
'And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the Daffodils.'...Please enjoy.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
I think Wordsworth would have approved of this beautiful shot of a host of golden daffodils. The whole picture is imbued with their goldenness - it appears their colour is reflected in the sky.
Beautiful - the only word to describe it :)
" I' ve seen the sunrise in a thousand ways, I' ve seen the wonder of a summer storm, I' ve seen a mountain that touched the sky...... " Chris De Burgh
"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
"'Life is not a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and loudly proclaiming,
"WOW! What a ride!"'
Psalm 1:3 "He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper."
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
I might be at the bottom of the pile commenting but you're at the top of the heap with this one Mick. That sky is perfect. Add a field of daffodils and you have perfection. All you have to do is look at the # of downloads to realize how great it is. If I lost a golf ball in there, I'd just leave it. I wouldn't want to disturb anything. Excellent.
"...all at once I saw a crowd, a host, of golden daffodils". I love that poem and this gorgeous scene, well captured and presented. (as always). Is this the same field as the one you have in the perms?
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>

full screen, the daffodils look a bit oversaturated, but it's a nice shot. Maybe could use some lightening to bring out the hill a bit and help balance out that saturation a bit.
~ Sitting here with jaw-dropping, totally in awe....amazing capture Mick...OMG...what it must have been like to be there at that moment! Thank you for sharing!
:)
A magnificent photo!! The drama is just fantastic! The lovely sky, the distant hills and the daffodils in front, well, you could not have shot a better photo. Congrats on this for sure!! Verena
Poppies! I mean, um, Daffodils! It reminds me of that scene in The Wizard of Oz, lol! Feeling sleepy? That's a truly amazing capture! I've never seen such a field of flowers! And that's quite the dramatic golden sky to set them off too! :)

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
By William Wordsworth (1770-1850).

The mood I am experiencing... is one of total peace and appreciation... for what God has presented for you to examine..in full...and then to gather together your tasteful elements...enhance them with your skill....and then....to gift the composition to us for our pleasure...this you have done...the image is beautiful...and I love it Mick...flowers for as far as the eye can see...and done with a 'touch of genius'....I must say....I will place this image in my favorites for certain....thank you!
I couldn't resist sending the poem along in it's entirety for those who unfamiliar with it...because...I too love....love it's words!!
