First a cog train, then a gondola which can be seen lower left, then the easy bit, a short hike to the summit of the Stanserhorn- felt like being on top of the world ! The summit is 1898m and is south of Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldensee), Switzerland. September 2006... Kodak V550. . . . Thank you for viewing, comments most welcome and always appreciated

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

omg! this is one of my favourite views - although I have not seen it myself, I already have two photographs of this view in my favourites - one posted by 'Hans' and another one by 'Torque' so this one will also be finding a place in my favourites Lyn - excellent shot!

Hmmmm this puzzles me a bit Lyn, i certanly do not recognice it as mount pilatus..
Since there are a lot of clouds above the valley and lake, i can not make out the shape of the lake, what otherwise would have been a good refrance point for me to make out where it otherwize could be....
How weird.. i do not want to go against you, but i do not believe it is the pilatus mountain.
Will save the image and investigate further...
Of cource, if you are proved right about the location, i will edit this reply. but right now, i am thinking of Lake Sarner (Sarnersee)

What ever the case, i do love this image.. Swiss is swiss, and i am so in love with this country.
Very glad to see you posting Swiss.
