Now these I know. Scabiosa or pincushion plant. I think I have some of these and the ones in your image are beautiful. Nicely composed of three lovely flowerheads. A nice series.

Cindy is probably right, but I wouldn't know. I do know that I'm enjoying them, and the shape of the leaves looks familiar to me..whatever...they're just lovely.
I never looked close up to flowers before i entered caedes Lyn, but this was an eye opener for sure, this is a great example of that.
