Horses and plough, and they did a good job at the Harvest Home celebration I attended today. I wondered if conversion to b/w may have made this look more in keeping with the historic look. What do you think?. .Panasonic DMC-FZ7. . Thank you for taking a look.Commments are most welcome.

Perhaps, but I'm one for color in my photos, but you should give it a try...might be just the thing for these handsome guys. :)

That's always a frustrating thing...{to me}...to post variations of same image...BECAUSE...you can do it just to have the variation, but it always becomes a comparison. I say: manip, go for it....anytime you want to see it in a different perspective. Like work with frames, some will like and some will prefer the first one you post....but you should always follow your impulse to create! Nice horses....and they have the look of old timey days or maybe a bit Amish?

A beautiful picture of three very contented looking workers. The clarity is superb. Well done. When I was young almost all photographs were black and white. If you are looking for nostalga then certainly try black and white. Personally, I prefer colour.

I agree..go for the b&w...see what it looks like to 'you' then post it, if you like it..that's good enough for us!

Lovely horses and countryside. In black and white you will lose all the nice colours including the light blue sky.

How about a sepia? They are a lovely set of triplets. Go for it, Eve!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . It's not the type of image that B&W would do anything for. I like it as is. We have a sect of people over here that still farm that way and it isn't for fun either. It's the Amish. they are old fashioned and for religious reasons will not use modern equipment. Good post.

I agree with cynlee that sepia might be an interesting experiment... but this color shot is just fine because you get to see the rich shades on the horses themselves.
A very nice shot.

Hello Lyn....A lovely picture of beautiful animals..This brings back memories to when I was a boy...My father used the heavy horse to drag timber out of the forests in Scotland...Keep the picture as you have captured it...Well done Lyn...All the best...Mick.
