The Arc de Triomphe is a monument in Paris standing in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, honouring those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars, and today also includes the tomb of the unknown soldier. It stands over 51 meters (165 ft) in height and is 45 meters wide. The size of the tourists on top give some idea of its enormity.. .Kodak V550.. Thank you for taking a look.Any comments are most welcome and always appreciated.

Like the angle and you're right about tourists giving sense of size of monument. Like the sign which places it without interferring. Great coloring and information. Nice post.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Well done, Eve. I hope to be able to see it myself someday. The details you've picked out in this are amazingly clear.
