Speed home little jet boat, you are small and the clouds are great. You do not hear the threatening roll of thunder above your own roar. From the safety of the shore watch the rain batter down on the still lake and thrill to the boom of the thunder. This is nature's show.

I agree with the Owd Timer about the vignetting, LE. The tone of this photo is fabulous. Narrative exquisite.

I truly hope this is for the contest. In my view it is exceptional. The vignetting is well done and perfect for this subject.

When Richie says that you're a poet, than it's a great compliment Lyn.
You're not only a poet but a very good photographer as well.
Think this image makes this clear in a sufficient way.
Thanks for this splendid post.

Great advice Lyn but what about yourself? Click and run to the car? LOL! Nice narrative to accompany this beautiful image showing imminent weather change.

When the sky turns green it's time to head for shelter. I've been fascinated by weather phenomenon since childhood, when I would wait for a hailstorm to start, then run to sit inside the tin shed and listen to the stones banging off the exterior. Yep... weird kid; weird adult. This one is too cool to let go so I'm snitching a copy for my "water" screen saver. Thanks and Kia Ora, Lyn.

Now that would be scary with that kind of cloud cover, well captured, and well written. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Wonderful picture, Eve. I'm curious about the little white specks on the water. Are those raindrop splashes?
