Jean Richepin must be a real dreamer to say something like that! But then again your rose somewhat justifies even such a statement.

Such a soft color and what nice light to catch it in.

I can't fault your use of the available lighting. Love the silky smoothness that you captured. I wish all of the pedals were in focus, but at least the cost was minimal.

Such a delicate looking blossom with emphasis on the delicate tonal range of peaches and cream. So very pretty, Lyn.

The colors are great and the lighting dramatic, but what I really like about this photo are the buds nestled so close to the blossom. It creates a mother-with-children aura that is quite charming. So top marks for composition.

Well now, that's a KEEP-PAH! Such great focus all around. The folds are so real looking. I could smell the bloom.

A rose is a rose is generally a rose... but finding one with these close attendant closed buds is a perfect before-and-after lucky chance. Plus the focus is tack-sharp. I'm saving this one to use as a screen for my wife to see in the morning... on the 31st anniversary of our first date. Thanks for making it a special screen.
