Two more of my friend's animals. Barney (the horse) is 17 years old and Alicia the Shetland Pony is just a few months. They have become inseparable companions despite the difference in age and size :)

A horsewoman friend and co-worker has photos of a barn cat sleeping (in the winter sun) on her horse's back, two extremely unusual friends (predator and prey animals). She will appreciate the thought and story behind this one as well as a copy of it for her computer screen, thank you... and Merry Christmas Lyn, to you and yours.

When Barney gets old? Ramad doesn't know horses ages. 17 yrs is quite old for a horse but Barney looks to be in great shape. I can appreciate the age gap. I am 71 but my best friend is 86. We do everything together. Great post.

This is another wonderful capture. I knew someone that had a huge stallion, and she also had a Shetland, and the little guy would stand under the stallion, and they were best friends. :) tigs=^..^=
