I loved the colour of this dahlia and could not decide on a complementary shade for the frame so decided to just go with the same gorgeous purple.
I think this Dahlia may be "Thomas Edison" but I am not 100% sure.Thank you for looking - your comments are most appreciated, always.

I think the purple frame works well, as well as the slow fade into more purple that your blossom is doing. Very dramatic, Lyn.

Well...Thomas Edison never looked better, lol...I really like how the outer petals fade into the sharp focus on the center...and the pink/purple framing perfect for the composition...excellent work, Lyn.

The result is lovely Lyn. Good idea it was - the centre part of the dahlia seems to be sticking out with a 3D effect. Nice work. IO may try this too.
