The Single Wattled Cassowary is not a bird that flies about or even runs about much and you can guess why. Just look at those feet. Those claws are deadly and she will use them if necessary sometimes.(Pls see link)

Fantastic capture for the color, details and even the mean look about it. Most unusual and a true sign of times long ago.

She may look funny, but I wouldn't dare tell her so. You're a brave man, Raj, getting as close as you did. Many thanks.

Raj - That is one mean looking bird. It has some interesting coloring, but is rather homely. That said, you have photographed it with great skill. Thad

I think that is one of the oddest creatures I've ever seen! You captured it beautifully. It's amazing what nature comes up with - I'm not sure that someone with the most vivid imagination could have ever dreamed this up!

I'm looking at those feet and I can't believe my eyes! Fabulous capture of this unusual bird, Raj! His feathers look kind of sharp like that of a porcupine and his head is also most unusual... to me that is, as I have never see this species before. Nicely done, and thank you for sharing! :)
