We are to have a very cold day tomorrow only around 35F. But I hope your snow is now gone or will be shortly Raj! I do like the snake-like intertwining of these branches.
Not a welcome sight in some respects, still, the twisty branches and stark contrasts do make an appealing capture...just hope for your sake you won't be uploading more recent shots of this:)
Either there has been no wind to speak of or there's a lot of water in that snow, making it stick like glue to each and every branch. Most likely the latter, since spring snow generally have 2 to 3 times the amount of water in it. I might have suggested lightening it a little, Raj, but just as it is it's a real "old home week" photo for me. I get to see this here every winter but never tire of the sculptures that nature and winter creates for us.
Okay, I'm back, having pulled a copy into Photoshop and tried some lightening on it myself. What happens when I do that is it darkens the last of the very slight gradation of the nearly-black wood, making the whole a lot more abstract. So, understand the varying art tastes of people, it works both ways. -Nik
