Raj, if the moorhen could speak, think it would have expressed being amazed and have said: "How is it possible that you could found me?", ☺ . A very fine one again!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
We have a variant of them here in the wetlands of the American northern plains, called coots. They don't appear to be very bright, intellectually, and it takes a lot to get them to fly to avoid humans, preferring instead to swim or run away on top of the water. A number of times I have seen a hunter blast away at them, thinking they were a different breed of duck, and the coots will just bob in the water, wondering what all the fuss is about. Our coots here in North Dakota also have a white face instead of any other color. I like the coloring on yours better.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
