A half open magnolia. In the last 5 days the change in the appearance of plants and trees is almost unbelievable. It looks as though spring came out with a vengeance.

I've only ever seen the front of these large blossoms, so it's rather cool to see how coarse the receptacle and sepal really are.

The textures are interesting, gives you another insight into nature's creations. I actually really love this view, it's unique, and well, more natural in a way than all the sleek shiny vibrant colors we usually see. Composition superb, yup, a favorite for me!
