I love that veritable carpet of color on this hill face, Richie, simply stunning and perfect for my monitor, but I also really like the composition of the two strong diagonal shapes here; the bright and varied colors on land versus the blues of the sea and sky. If you had cropped the top just a little they would have constituted two triangles of exactly the same dimensions and area. It actually reminds me of the well-known yin and yang symbol used by South Korea on their national flag. Yin and yang... sea and land... wild colors and one color. Did you know you were inspiring philosophy, Richie?

A beautiful sight - that hillside covered in colour and the stark white of the lighthouse. Although it is a nice sky I would have removed it completely to emphasise the diagonal line of the hillside. But I am not saying that would be the right thing to do !
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
This is beautifully done my friend, the camera settings and of course your skill at editing, really brought us an excellent post today. I like that you included the people in this shot as well. Your doing great with the new camera. . ...S.
