This shot was taken so close to the Colorado and Utah borders I dont remember which side I was on. I know that sounds funny but it was several years ago and I had allready been through several states that day. I do remember it was a roadside stop. Most likely the most beautiful I had ever seen. This is the last of a small series. I hope you have enjoyed viewing it. I have enjoyed going through old shots and bringing them to you. Most I have wondered why I have not shown them before but such is the mood of a phototgrapher and his work.

Now we are the Indians looking down BTK. By the time they ride down there hopefully the wagons will be circled. This series give a feel of how it was when the west was tamed.
Good post.

This is a nice shot of the typical scenery of the region. The overall picture seems to have a slight blue cast to it. Too blue in the shadows and a little lacking in contrast to my eyes. It is as if the lens may have been catching a little too much glare from the sun on its surface. It appears you may have done some post work on the sky? I see a little bit of halo around the edge where the sky meets the hills. You have indeed captured a most beautiful sight in this shot. I envy the privilege you have had to have traveled these roads and seen these sights.

What a great view.

I guess this is taken in the middle of the day when the sun was very sharp, it could use a 'lil bit more contrast to set the shadow parts and the colors more off.

But more contrast or not I do enjoy this shot :o)

Thought at first sight, you had gone to the moon Billy, but realize that there are no trees, lol.
Another impressive image to me. Great series, my friend!

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
