...Now you don't!

This is a boat in camouflage!

This is The Snowdrop, one of The Mersey Ferries in the act of mooring at the Pierhead terminal in Liverpool. It has been painted in a design by Sir Peter Blake to commemorate the "dazzle camouflage" used in WWI.

This image was taken from the other side of The Mersey and tries to capture the amazing mixture of old and new down on the Liverpool waterfront.

There are lines everywhere Caruso. You have accomplished your goal of integrating the old and the new.
So much to view and enjoy.

I see it. No, I don't. Wait....yes, I can see it! A fine example of dazzle camouflage and a well-executed photo, Steve.

Steve, this 'dazzling' ferry is too small to sail on rough open seas. If seagoing ships were painted in a similar way, their appearance likely had lead that countless seamen hadn't time anymore for being seasick, lol.

Good one again!

A beautiful contrast against the grey background and a nice capture of it from far off Steve. Pier Head looks so different from what I remember from the old days!

I remember seeing many photos of that WWII camo painting, designed to break up the outline of the ship and making it harder to identify from a distance. While the colorful geometrics on the ferry makes for a fun image, what is so outstanding to me in this photo is the contrast in architectural styles, that renaissance structure surrounded by ultra modern. Your camera angle packs them in close together, making the contrast even more extreme. The architecture here is what I see as fitting the contest theme of "In Disguise," and the ferry more of a bonus that serves to distract the viewer's eye from initially seeing what's actually hidden in the photo. The fact that all the buildings are monochromatic, versus the bright colors of the ferry, also help to hide the architecture when first viewing the image. Diggin' it.
