A great memory from our childhood was the story of Peter Pan and those glorious characters the Lost Boys, Wendy, Tinker Bell, and of course, Captain Hook.
The Old Bow and Hook made use of free clipart at: https://clipartix.com/pirate-ship-clip-art/, http://clipart-library.com/clipart/1177829.htm, and https://www.seekpng.com/idown/u2t4o0r5a9o0e6y3_wave-clipart-silhouette-ocean-wave-wave-silhouette/. The cloud effect came from a personal photograph of mine of skies.

I must say however that in my childhood days I've read (with red ears because of the tension) books with pirate adventures too.
Your splendid work does revive my childhood days to a certain extent now. Thanks for that!
