I had my doubts. Using a low shutterspeed would show that the windmill 'The Hope' was grinding indeed but it would, on the other hand, disturb the composition somewhat. As you can see I've chosen for a faster shutterspeed composition.

John (Rozem061): as you can see there's a good cooperation between the co-operators of the municipality Middelburg and me as they have placed a flower boat as this spot as well (lol).

Mary, the co-operators of the municipality of Middelburg have placed some of those boats at different places in Middelburg. At some of my earlier Middelburg posts some of those boats could already be seen. John (Rozem061) was teasing me in the past a little bit, by saying that there is only one boat and that this boat is towed everytime to the spot where I will capture my images. So, now I was teasing John back. Think I can afford this kind of kidding as there's a very good understanding between John and me! Know for 100% sure that John likes every boat with flowers very well though. Cornelius

This is a wonderful scene. A very pretty sight with a lot to see. I'm going to subscribe if you want to answer my question here because others may be wondering too, but I'm curious as to what the significance is of the little white house that the flower boat is moored to...??? By the way, I love all of these flowers boats. They add so much to the canals' view. Someone somewhere along in time had a terrific idea!! :)

PJ, as far as I know is that little white wooden house a kind of shelter and a place to brood for water birds like ducks and so on. Cornelius

Cornelius: I was taking a tour through your gallery and came upon this little gem. I love the composition and the vantage point you took photo was perfect. Lots of colors to look at. How "foofy" does the flower boat make you.? JK Very nice post.
