Today I'll start a new series called 'Ter Hooge'. Ter Hooge is the name for a castle and landed estates around this castle and is situated west of Middelburg at the peninsula Walcheren, Zeeland, The Netherlands. The landed estates around this castle are managed by the Zeeland Countryside Foundation and are mainly opened to the public. Famous rare plants are growing there. The first castle Ter Hooge was built approximately 1300. Nowadays only one tower of the 'old' castle remains. The 'new' castle was built in 1754 - 1759 and is owned now by one family. I'll start this series by showing you some of the forest around the castle. Later I'll show you the castle itself (from the outside). Hope you'll enjoy this series.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I love the colors and the reflections, and the way the sun is shining through on the tree on the right bank. Very nice, Cornelius.

My dear friends! I hope you forgive me for not commenting and answering that much recently. Thats because of the weather situation here, that takes all my energy. I promise to do better as soon as there will be more sun again. Smile
