Another scene of my part of the world, taken in Zierikzee, a little town on the peninsula Schouwen-Duiveland, Zeeland, the Netherlands.

Hope you'll like it. Thanks in advance for your comment.

PS (July, 12th): as you can see, I've captured this image on a sunny, cloudless day. A pretty rare phenomenon in Holland the last few weeks. Therefore I decided to let the sky as blue as it is, although adding of some artifical clouds perhaps may have resulted in a finer image.

Edit (July, 13th): Richie (biffobear) did me a request to add still some clouds. He got my permission. Richie offered me to view the result in advance (before uploading to Caedes), but that's was not necesarry to me, because I'm well known with his skills/expertise. Please check-out this link to see the result, and agree with me that he has created a 'painting' of an old Dutch master.

It looks fine to me my friend!...

This scene has lots of different types of vessels in it!...Is this a kind of 'museum' area?...

Good snap!

---Is this a kind of 'museum' area?...---

@ Bob,

This is not a museum area. The maritime museum area of Zierikzee can be found and the end of this canal and in the Stadshaven (Town Harbour). I will post an image of that area later. The old ships on the left side of the image are used for sailing with passengers on the Eastern Scheldt (in the summer time on a daily basis). The price for such a nostalgic ride is very reasonable, but I still prefer to sail on my own.

Edit (July, 16th): In order to keep my promise, I've posted this image today.

Plenty to look at in this image Cornelius. Interesting to see all the different types of crafts on the water, different kinds of buildings and above all the windmill. Very nice shot.

To tell you the truth, I was admiring all the beautiful colors, reflections, and the windmill and boats, and I didn't even notice there were no clouds in the sky. This is a gorgeous shot just the way it is, Mr. C.

No clouds needed in this beauty SEA. The water level looks kind of low. I would love to go sailing (I've never been) and have a captain like you at the helm.
Such a beautiful scene and captured perfectly as usual.
Good health to you and yours.

You know me and those clear blue skies, Cornelius. Maybe because I live in California where the clouds won't return for months, those clear blue skies aren't a rarity as much as they are an irritant. However, since this is your shot and it's been very cloudy, I will not deduct any points for the sky in this splendid image. Your part of the world seems to be pretty much all about the sea. What a lovely harbor for refuge from the ravages of a storm. I can't think of anything finer than coming home to this scene after being at sea. The canal doesn't look all that deep from this angle, but the Dutch know a thing or two about maintaining shorelines and areas of water; so I'll assume that no boats were harmed in the making of this shot. I swear that some day before I die I'll see England and Holland for real and not have to rely on you as my pictorial travelog. A solid 8.5 out of 10 for this stunner and a fave for the sheer beauty of the old world architecture.

Very nice image Mr.C, but when looking at yours first and then at the redo by biffobear, I felt like the clouds were distracting my attention from the rest of the shot. Maybe it's just me. Certainly no offense towards biffobear's work, his clouds are quite nice as well.
