This narrow medieval street with cosy little shops is situated in the town of Zierikzee, Zeeland, The Netherlands.

The small shop with the cow sculptures on its front side, sells cheese. One can taste a piece for free. Yummy, ☺ .

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I think 'medieval' and I think dark, but this is so beautifully bright and cheerful. The kaas shop sounds a good place to visit! I like the cows outside too.
A delightful photo Cornelius :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Aged gouda is one of my favorite cheeses especially with a crisp apple! This is so charming Mr. C and as a one-time medieval studies student much appreciated.

I am not sure which is more fun: your photograph or the name Zierikzee, Zeeland?

What an interesting street! It looks charming and artsy and like a delightful shopping adventure.

Beautifully photographed to capture a bit of its flavor and feel, C!

This is precisely the reason that I'm on Caedes, Cornelius. There are people from all over the world on this site, and luckily some of them like you post street scenes. The entire street scene fascinates me. Love the details and the colors.

This reminds me of Honshu Street in Yokosuka, Japan. Large enough for a single vehicle, tiny sidewalks and miniature gutters. Yours, however, is much cleaner and brighter. Another great slice of life from your "neck of the woods."
