Of course I've asked this sculptor permission for taking some images. There was some hesitation because he said to me: "Your result will be disappointing, because I'm too old for getting a nice portrait."

My reply was: "It's not a matter of being handsome but of showing character."

He agreed with a smile and a wink, and continued silently his creating work while I was taking the desired pictures.

A matter of understanding and respect!

Well, C., that would be the response from a real artist.

The sculpture looks alive and seems to be loving the attention of her creator. A lovely image C, well done.

Progress equals a trashed planet since mankind is too busy altering it. BTW find the classic definition of Caedes here. Enjoy yourself today (o: because you don't know what tomorrow may bring.

Beautiful shot of this sculptor at work Cornelius. From what I can see here he is good at his work - old or not.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I believe he would make a great candidate for a portrait SEA. He would look great in b/w. Wonderful capture.

I have always been humble when it comes to my age or judging others. Age has nothing to do with it really. I looked down today at the hairs on my arm and noticed they are getting lighter with some white hairs coming in. For a second it bothered me a little, but then I accepted it and moved on.

You've captured this perfectly in my eyes, excellent detail and lighting. So patiently working, in full looks like he's working with a fine grade of sandpaper to smooth things out just right
