I took this B&W image of the container vessel 'YM Width' about an hour earlier than this one.

Here's the 'YM Width' still on the Western Scheldt river, and just in front of me, so I think that the title of my image is meant for me, ☺ .

My weekly entry for the Wednesday B&W challenge (BWC).

And its width (at 167 feet) is the exact height of Niagara Falls (compare it here to the size of the "Maid of the Mist").

If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.

Good job you were not too close...or the ship would have caught you! ☺

A great perspective of this mighty vessel and a good one for the B&W challenge

A powerful ad impressive picture Cornelius !
The vertical perspective emphasises the enormous size of the vessel.

On the list for Wednesday's BWC - many thanks, as always :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I'll tell the Admiral to make sure someone is standing watch SEA.
We don't need any more collisions.
I can feel it coming right at me, excuse me but I need to get oaring.
Well photographed.
I don't know why, but every time I comment on your photos, I get a "flood control error," and have to wait and try again.
