Even these Dutch kids (with traditional wear - inclusive wooden shoes - because of the yearly 'gig ride' event) are hungry from time to time after 'participating' in a gig ride.
On this special occasion 'junk food' (French fries, chicken nuggets, and other snacks) is a treat to them. Although I didn't ask her, their mother assured to me that the next days only responsible and good food is on the menu, ☺ .

Cute photo of the kids enjoying themselves. They are still very young. Here in Germany there is the problem of obesity among teenagers mainly because of junk food. Some parents are no better!

While the boys are solid studly-men, in their traditional costumes, her wee curls at her temples are freakin' adorable (not a word I bandy about recklessly). I know my wife will like this one as well (she has a lot of Dutch in her and her family had a pair of wooden clogs--she is descended from the Dutch group that bought Long Island for 60 guilders in 1626, equivalent to 734.77 euros [$856.49] in 2011). Kids in America live on that stuff--it's why we are an obese nation--even rural kids (who used to be somewhat isolated on the farm) dive into it when they get into town. What always pokes me is that by the time they realize fruits and vegetables taste better, digest easier, and keep you feeling good, they're already panting at the top of the stairs.
