Depicted (on October 24th, 2021) is the little castle 'Minnewater' in downtown Bruges, Belgium. It was built in 1890 and had initially the name 'Castle Della Faille' named after a Southern Netherlands noble family. Its architect was Charles de Wulf.

It got its new name (after some refurbishment) after a pond in the middle of the center of Bruges, called 'Minnewater' (only available in the Dutch language). In 1996 the castle got the status as 'protected heritage'. It has a restaurant function now.

That would be a magnificent place to bring my better seven-eighths for a celebratory anniversary dinner (now on our 42nd year). I can see a string of lights~~probably those long bottle-shaped white lights~~on the right, above some tables, and can imagine them casting a glow on that right facade of stepped gables after the sun goes down. Lovely.

I bet it is a great place to catch a luncheon and watch the people and the water activities as both go by.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
