The small tower to the left of the bridge is being restored. To prevent passers-by from being injured by falling debris, a screen has been chosen to surround the tower. In itself, on the one hand, it's optimal for safety, but on the other hand, this isn't a pretty sight. That is why it was decided to 'decorate' the tower. Perhaps the city council was inspired by Christo, 😁 !

Only if Christo had the flu so bad he was seeing spots before his eyes, C. Yeah, there*s no way passers-by would miss it: as a thumbnail I thought the tower was simply painted red. Enlargement proved otherwise. You know, I*m sure I*m not the only person here who would enjoy seeing another capture of this scene, once the tower work is done and the red surround is removed. If the photo of the completed tower was taken from the very same spot, and submitted with a link to this one, it would be pretty cool for us old farts and instructive for the novices to see. You should consider that.
