Pat - And, I think I see Norman on the right! lol It is amazing that the building remains after so many centuries. The perspective, with the wall below, enhances the understanding of history associated with this church. Thad

A thoroughly enchanting view with so many little details to enjoy. I really like the way it's framed by the trees and the wall.

England has a lot of places with an unpayable cultural and historical heritage. The St. Mary's in Tissington, Derbyshire is one of them.
Your image breathes out what I just was saying Patti.
Great post.

...to be honest I am not happy with the quality of my image - too much contract and saturation - just shows - don't photoshop your images late at night - poor judgement on my behalf! lol! I'll leave the image for a couple of weeks, but will most likely delete it.

Well before you do anything too hasty let me say this is a great looking scene. Lovely colours and clarity along with some good lighting. A beautiful old church caught in a grand setting.

Built to last then!!

I am viewing late at night with just a lamp - and I do know things can look different in daylight - but for me I love these vibrant colours which contrast so well against the sombre stone colour.

Very nice indeed. My main church in town is also called St MArys, and there is a similarity between their towers.
