I am pretty sure this is an Astor..found these blooming profusely in Nature Preserve a couple of weeks back....again this picture was taken in early morning and have dew drops on flower...I should mention also...I ran this through HDR.

absolutly fantastic details, the hdr works well on flowers when you do it! lol, when i do it they look dreadful!

I honestly would not have known this received HDR treatment unless you'd mentioned it. Which is exactly how it "should" be.

Wonderful close-up, and good job with the colors and details.

This is pin sharp with lovely light Gerry. I'm impressed by the way the drops of water stand out so clearly from the petals. I'm not a fan of over the top HDR but you've used it as I think it should be used here - subtly, to enhance what's there already.

Yes, it's a wild aster! I love them because butterflies like them. I searched for them all summer and finally got a couple for our garden that I hope will be nice for next year. Great shot with the dew on this!
