Hi everyone, I'm back for a few days before our last skating competition in Blaine Minnesota early next week. Then I'm off to Missouri to visit my sister-in-law for 2 weeks.
We are standing here at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado looking at this gorgeous Cathedral.. We will visit all the different chapels inside. Hope you are ready with your camera to capture the inside, Are You Ready?
OK we will now walk back the Visitors Centre to get back to our car. It's hot and take your time doing the climb back.
They are closing this Cathedral next year for 4 years to do repairs and maintenance.

I have seen pictures of this cathedral before Pat but your capture is at the perfect angle - it's my understanding the structure is to look like wings on an airplane and your perspective captured that perfectly.

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Pat, this is a perfect image of this sophisticated cathedral with its well thought design (the roof is pointing to the sky/heaven). Kathy could be right in her comment as well.

Wow...that is impressive!...The structure is unusual..but the shape of it makes it pointing to the heavens....so, very appropriate!

I recalled seeing this place before so I went looking... and found this one submitted in 2011 by Chris Gaskins. It's good but I like yours better, providing us with the entire building, looking like a long row of stacked wings, as though it was a line of planes parked on a field or an aircraft carrier. Very nice, Pat.
