When I see something like this, you can't stop me from commenting. What a sensational looking bird and what a wonderful capture too, Jen. It's almost like he sat right there waiting for you to depress the shutter button! lol
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Doesn't matter how busy we all are Jen. This image just earns a comment in order to let you know that you've captured a wonderful image.
Enjoy your holiday as well.
Regards, Cornelius.
Nice to have you back Jen. The starlings we have are like the Lion said, pretty ugly. They're considered more a nuisance around here. If they were as lovely as the one you have posted I'm sure that opinion would change. Excellent composition. Merry Christmas to you and yours Jen.
Busy? What, me busy? I don't let that happen. What in the world is that bird staring at? Probably a girlfriend, or boyfriend, whichever applies. Maybe the photographer is telling him to "Watch the birdie," so he decided to focus in on it. Very nice shot, Jen. Merry Christmas.
Ain't no Starling I ever saw...But then again I ain't seen the USA either!!...Astonishing colours on this!...and you captured him perfectly!..great detail and terrific clarity!...
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

What a "superb" starling. Did you photograph this in Africa? I read that they are as common in some places in Africa as robins are here. What a treat!
Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season.
