Jen - Razor sharp crispness in this image. The diagonal line delineating foreground and background is very effective. Beautiful scene and photography! Thad

The streaks of clouds really draw the eyes to the center of the photo to the rock. A beautiful shot.

Such a mammoth rock face. Almost looks carved by human hands instead of by water. I love the colors in those rocks too. Just gorgeous, Jen.

This went up as my desktop the minute I saw it. What color and clarity. That had to be shot with your 5D?

Inspiring composition! Captivating colors and details. Those rocks are amazing. I too think the diagonal clouds make a fantastic background for this.

Y'know I've seen images of these kind of geologic formations but always from a distance. This close-in shot is as outstanding as I thought it would be. The angle at which you've captured it allows the lines in the sky to mimic the lines of soil shift below the pinnacle, making all of them, those in the sky and the soil, appear as though the pinnacle itself was casting them. Plus the horizontal lines of strata are paralleling the distant horizon line. Add in the very strong diagonal running from the top right to the bottom left, the great colors, and the good focus, and you've got a winner here, Jen. The only suggestion would have been to boost the green saturation just a bit to make the brush pop a little.
